Rosella requires six frost free growing months, so is not suited to cooler districts. It is popular for jams and preserves. Sow seed 10 mm deep in boxes after all danger of frost is past. Transplant into rows 1500 mm apart with 1500 mm between plants. Copious quantities of compost should be used.
