Gobo

Gobo, or burdock is a very popular Japanese vegetable. It is sown in spring or autumn in rows 300 mm apart with 300 mm between plants. It produces edible roots similar in appearance to parsnips, so work the soil deeply before sowing. The roots are mature three months after the seedling emerges. Keep the soil well watered.
